 Important Tasks & Responsibilities

Position carries out the essential duties required to package, seal, and transport sugar packages, as well as those for other packing stations that produce product in weights ranging from 1 to 2000 pounds.
Check weighing, cutting in of damaged packages, cleaning the station, stacking and sorting station supplies and packaging containers, lifting packed items weighing 24 to 50 pounds for hand palletizing, check weighing, and other jobs as assigned are examples of station tasks.

Pay Per Hour: $23.38.

Position Requirements

It is necessary to rotate day, swing, and graveyard shifts every two weeks. As scheduled, daily and weekly overtime is necessary.
Positions necessitate the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, grip, push, and pull for 6 to 8 hours a day or more.
PPE, such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and a hard hat, are essential for the position.
The circumstances at packaging stations are similar to those seen in a food packing facility and necessitate hearing protection. Refined sugar, sugar dust, cleaning soaps, lubricants, and working around moving equipment are all hazards for packaging laborers.

Overview
