Responsibilities:
- Create and put into action thorough supply chain and logistics plans that are in line with the overall aims and objectives of the business.
- Analyze and modify your strategy frequently to reflect shifting market conditions, technological advancements, and commercial trends.
- Accountable for the department’s P&L and delivering country budgets in coordination with the other members of the management team.
- Lead and oversee a broad group of logistics experts, including transportation experts and logistics coordinators.
- Encourage the logistics team to have a culture of cooperation, creativity, and ongoing progress.
- To ensure the prompt and economical delivery of supplies, equipment, and services, cultivate and maintain good relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Contracts and service agreements should be negotiated to provide the best possible terms and conditions.
International laws
- Assure rigorous adherence to international laws and industry norms controlling the handling, transportation, and storage of hazardous products frequently connected to the oil and gas industry.
- To remain compliant, keep abreast of regulatory changes and make the appropriate modifications to your logistical procedures.
- To achieve cost-cutting goals, optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory control while using cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Budgets should be monitored and controlled, and potential for cost savings and increased efficiency should be noted.
- Recognize and evaluate logistics operation risks, such as supply chain interruptions, security concerns, and geopolitical variables.
- To reduce potential interruptions and losses, develop and implement risk mitigation methods.
Establish key performance
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor them frequently to gauge the efficacy and efficiency of activities.
Leverage technology and automation to improve productivity, save operating costs, and streamline workflows. Lead and support process improvement efforts.
Maintain the highest levels of environmental, health, and safety protection in all logistics-related activities.
Create and implement HSE guidelines and best practices across the entire business to guarantee adherence to regional and global standards.
Actively seek out prospects for customer growth within the Oil & Gas and Projects industry, establishing connections with current customers and looking into new collaborations.
Work together with the business development teams to find and assess possible clients and projects that fit with the area’s firm growth strategy.
Qualifications in Education & Work Experience
A bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, supply chain management, or a similar discipline. a demonstrated track record of at least 10 years in senior logistics management positions, with a strong emphasis on asset support and program coordination. expertise of both import and export with experience in UAE local markets and GCC transportation. comprehensive understanding of international logistics laws and best practices, particularly as they relate to the oil and gas and projects industries.
